The rise of technology has created several implications ,along with its advantages.  While some of us use it to laugh, connect and interact ,there are several others who use it for business. Social media is becoming an important part of our life online. The use of social media is most common among teenagers. The abrupt use of mobiles states so. Though it may have several advantages and meets the needs of people in the modern society ,it also has several disadvantages include cyber bullying ,fraud , online harassment ,etc. And therefore ,it is important to make the most of social media only because of the advantages it serves. It is important to make wise use of the media ,and for this one needs to engage in techniques that help you deal with it effectively. Here are a few ways you can make the most of social media:-

• Communication

Communicating effect effectively on social media sites can do you wonders. Not everyone may prefer the same way of communication. It is better to ask your co workers what they prefer as means of communication. Note and be conscious of everything that goes public and the legal ramifications accompanying the same. Ask questions . This shows that you are interested in the topic. Always pause when you feel too burdened . Do not take impulse decisions. Make yourself clear and seek pardon if someone else is not clear. Empathy is greater than sympathy. Keep things private when necessary. Public interaction on social media can be stressful. Do it correctly ,use the right words and your discussion will be fruitful.

• Engage

If you stay engaged ,your audience will know you and like you. Understand what your audience likes. It is important to respond and reciprocate to these interactions. Could be time consuming ,but it also worth it. Be yourself ,work on building relationships, not just possessing followers. Use emojis ,images , questions ,GIFs and videos to show your engagement.

• Stay active

Staying active on social media makes your presence felt. Post frequently so the audience does not get bored. You need to commit yourself to social media. You need to create an emotional attachment with your audience. It’s not worth it if you don’t stay online frequently and not connect with them at a personal level. Take your time, engage , listen.

• Accept feedback

Feedback will not always be positive. At times you need some constructive feedback so you improve. Respond quickly to negative feedback. If you are not receiving adequate feedback ,make sure you do not hesitate to ask for feedback. Feedback is important to make important decisions. Listening to their grievances will help you build stronger relationships with them.
